It’s no secret that virtual parties are becoming more and more popular. Online parties make it super easy for your hostess to earn rewards and her guests get to party from anywhere they have internet access. It’s also a pretty awesome way to earn a living, if you’re the consultant. We also know that some online parties are much more successful than others. Hands up if you’ve ever been a guest at an online party. Keep your hand up if you’ve been to a party that was too long, or boring, or did nothing but push product, or *gasp* didn’t have any sales. We know y’all still have your hands up!  As a consultant, the whole point of having parties is to be successful! Do you want to be known for having the best online parties? We thought so! That’s why we’re going to share five reasons that theme parties are the way to go.  
  1. You Stand Out!
If you had your hand up earlier because you’ve attended a less-than-stellar online party, you know exactly how the guests will respond if you run your parties the same way. They tune out, ignore your content, and rarely make a purchase. Theme parties are unique and that makes them memorable! Let’s say your company launches a brand new summer line. Every other consultant in your company is focused on selling the new products, but you have the opportunity to set yourself apart! Think about how much more fun your virtual party will be with a Hawaiian Luau theme. Maybe your new product line would be perfect to take camping. Hello ‘Great Outdoors’ theme! Whether or not your guests love camping or luaus isn’t really the point. What’s important is that because you have a theme, you are going to catch their attention, be able to show them how your products can be used in their everyday lives, and leave an impression as a great consultant. You will stand out!
  1. They Keep Your Guests Highly Engaged
With today’s social media algorithms, having un-engaged guests in your online parties is extremely detrimental! Once you lose them, you’ll have an incredibly difficult time getting them back, if you can get them back at all. People come to social media to connect with their friends and be entertained. Theme parties generate engagement. They are fun first and promotional second. People do not come to social media to be sold to. We know that’s not good news for someone who sells a product, but it’s the cold, hard truth and we wouldn’t be doing you any favors if we sugar coated it. By ensuring your guests are having fun, they will stay engaged, and the more engaged they are, the more of your content they will see (translation: the more of your promotional material Facebook will expose them too). We know it can be confusing and a little backwards, but take heart that we’ve done (A LOT of) research and know this to be true. That’s why fun themes are so important!  
  1. Theme Parties are Highly Repeatable
Once you have a theme party, it can be used over and over again. If you choose themes that appeal to a large crowd, you can offer a choice to your hostesses. It’s a fun and exciting way to hook your hostess and encourage her to book with you, rather than another consultant from your company. If you have Unicorns and Rainbows, a ‘90s theme, and a Witches & Wizards theme available to your hostess, she gets to pick the one she likes best. If a future hostess wants to use the same theme, that’s great, because you are ready to go! As an added bonus, every theme comes with optional content. That way if you want to mix things up from party to party, you can and it’s easy peasy!  
  1. Theme Parties Build Relationships
If you listen to any marketing expert, they will tell you that people buy from people they know, like and trust. So how do you get someone to know, like and trust you in the short time you are partying with them? It’s simple! You throw a fun and engaging party, and when they comment, you comment back. When the party guests engage, respond to them as often as you can! This gives you the opportunity to connect with people in a way that resembles in-person relationship building. Pro-tip: Pay attention to what things people like. It will give you an easy way to connect with them and naturally share products that you think they will like. In turn, they will feel like you care about them, and the circle of know-like-trust grows!
