What do you hear us say day in and day out and virtual theme parties? Come on, say it with usโฆ. โYou Have to Stand Out!โ One of the things we love to see is how our customers customize their scripts for other purposes. How great is it, that you can buy one theme and use it for multiple purposes?
Live sales also create a sense of urgency for your customer to buy, because if they donโt comment โSoldโ before someone else, they will likely lose out on the product you have. It can be a very persuasive, non-spammy sales tactic and it makes sense that more consultants are using them.
So how do you use a themed party script as part of your live sale? One of our Lularoe customers has very creatively used her scripts in conjunction with creating themed live sales. She uses the engagement posts from her themes to create excitement prior to her live sales, and then sells products related to that theme.
It gets people into the mindset of the theme sheโs using, and gets them having fun before she starts selling. A good example of a theme which works well is Unicorns & Rainbows. Lularoe is all about the โunicornsโ, which makes this theme fit perfectly.
Virtual Theme Parties
If youโre not sure which pieces to sell, think about those โvintageโ (last season) or โuniqueโ (hard to sell) pieces. Keep in mind, you donโt have to sell Lularoe to have vintage and unique products, so this theme is a good one to have on hand for any company that discontinues products.
Letโs talk for a minute about the technical side of this strategy. What makes it particularly effective is that by using highly engaging content before the sale, the consultant gives a boost to her Facebook algorithms. While we donโt pretend to know how the algorithms work exactly, we do know that Facebook wants to show people what they want to see, and it does that based on what they engage with.
The more her followers are genuinely engaging, the more Facebook will show her content in the newsfeeds of the people she is selling to. Since they are engaging with the pre-party content, it is much more likely that Facebook will show them the sale too. Recruiting Opportunities Is building a team part of your business plan?
People often tell us that this is a challenging aspect of their business. It can be tricky to share all of the details of your business opportunity without overwhelming someone. Many of our customers have taken their themed scripts and turned them into a recruiting tool. How cool is that?!
Think about how different the conversation would be if you were able to share your opportunity in a fun, informative and pressure-free way! Our customers have told us that recruiting with their virtual theme parties has people coming to them, instead of the other way around. Say what?!
So, how do we customize a script for recruiting? Itโs actually very easy! You can use any theme to recruit, so if you already have a favourite, start with that. Instead of highlighting your products, simply highlight aspects of joining your business in those posts.
Talk about the benefits, why you joined, what the requirements for becoming/staying active are, if there are any join specials, a basic introduction of your compensation plan, etc. Tell them anything they need to know about joining your company. Then instead of making your last post about shopping, tell them how to join! The same foundation applies to recruiting through scripts as it does to selling through scripts. Itโs about fun first, and sales second.
It also helps people get to know you before they sign up under you. They see that you believe in building relationships and selling in non-spammy ways, and that is why they will join you! Plus, you stand out! They probably havenโt been to a recruiting session that was so much fun before, and they know that you can teach them how to run their business the same way! ย
Team Training So you started using your scripts for recruiting and before you know it, youโve found yourself with a small (or not so small) team whoโs depending on you to lead them! Itโs so exciting to have taken that next step in your business, but it can be a little overwhelming too. Helping your team get off to a great start will set you both up for success, but how do you train them? Itโs as easy as using your scripts all over again!
You can set up your training scripts the same way you did for recruiting. In the spots designed for product posts, you fill in your training information. Depending on your company you may want to run monthly virtual theme parties, because there is too much information to cover in one session. Perhaps you run one party with posts all about using your back office. Then you could have another one for tips, tricks and how-toโs for home parties or online virtual theme parties, perhaps you have another for understanding your compensation plan, recruiting, leadership, etc.
The options are endless!
One of the challenges of being in direct sales is that you are leading a team, but you have no authority. Everyone makes their own decisions, plans, strategies, etc. about their business, so the only influence you really have is your leadership. Running training that are fun and engaging will make your downline much more likely to show up. Build a relationship with them, exactly as you would with your customers.
Keep things fresh by using new themes, and youโll give them a reason to make sure they always attend your training sessions. We love seeing how our customers are customizing our themed virtual party scripts to suit their needs and stand out. Being able to use the same script in multiple ways brings so much more value to our product and thatโs why we are always excited to share new ways to use what you already have. How do you customize our scripts? Weโd love for you to tell us in the comments!
